Mr Fix It in the halves played the support role for another year at Penrith and it turned out to be his last at the club despite earning an international cap for New Zealand in the process.
PLAYER RATING: 7/10
Isaac John had the perfect chance to make a claim at becoming a regular first grader when Jamie Soward and Peter Wallace decided they wanted to play musical chairs on the sideline and he took the opportunity with both hands.
Not as flambouyant as Soward or as disciplined as Wallace, John is a handy combination of both and his brand of footy was working ..until injury cut his season short, too.
He’s a first-grade quality player and it’s unlikely he’ll ever get the chance he deserves at Penrith.
