Player Review: Dallin Watene-Zelezniak

  • Player Review: Dallin Watene-Zelezniak

It’s a pretty exciting time when a player is picked to make their international debut and Dallin Watene-Zelezniak has enjoyed that buzz twice now, and surely for a third time despite being left out of the squad to tour England this year.

PLAYER RATING:               8/10

Wait, did we say lucky? We meant unluckiest player ever! DWZ was a powerhouse for Penrith in 2015, we saw his real potential shine at fullback in the absence of Matt Moylan but injury was to keep him from an exciting international debut for the second time. Heavy.

Matt Moylan and DWZ are completely different players and they’re both future stars. When Moylan’s season was ended by injury we were treated to a renewed Dallin who absolutely tore it up at fullback.

His talent and maturity is well beyond his years. Surely he is on par with Matt Moylan in terms of potential stardom. Another huge, and obvious, loss when Penrith took to the field without him.
