Three Penrith under-20s players, including the son of former Panther Craig Izzard, face extended stints on the sidelines over a spear tackle.
In one of the longer possible suspensions handed down on dangerous throws in recent seasons, Jarome Luai faces up to six matches out in a citation handed down by the NRL match review committee on Monday.
Reed Izzard and Jack Hetherington were the other defenders involved in the tackle on Wests Tigers player Daniel Roberts at Penrith on Friday night.
Hetherington faces up to five matches out, and Izzard could be banned for up to three.
Luai was charged with a grade-three dangerous throw. Izzard and Hetherington were hit with grade-two charges.
Roberts was stretchered off after the tackle but is understood to have suffered no long-term effects.
Izzard has long been a surname synonymous with the Panthers. Brad Izzard played in the club's first grand final win in 1991.
